Thank You for Your Thoughtfulness

I would like to thank all of you so very much for your kindness to my mother, Gladys O, and also our family. I am so pleased with the quality of care, love, friendliness, kindness and homelike setting you have. I have to be honest at first I didn’t want her there, but now I am so thankful that you accepted our mother into your home. It has been so hard on our family including our mom through all that has happened with her. The other day when I was there to see her I asked her how she liked it there and she said she was very happy and felt safe. Thank you again for being there in our time of need.

My Mother, Agnes Ellis, has been a resident at Hawthorne House since early December 2006. She, and all the residents at Hawthorne House, receives the best care there is. They are treated with respect and dignity. The atmosphere is one of family, accepting and loving.

Michele Nixon and Hawthorne House staff are right there to make sure the residents are receiving the care they need. Each resident is cared for as if they were the staff’s own family member. the Hawthorne House is a home. The home is clean, organized and gives a feeling of warmth and friendship. Debbie, the nurse, is there for the health needs of the residents, but also joins in as part of the Hawthorne House family.

Hawthorne House is the best. Thank you for making this all possible.

"Hi Michele, 

I have never been good about doing Kudos for the wonderful Caregivers you have there, I guess simply because everyone would be getting one from me everyday! I think they are all deserving of a special pat on the back, job well done EVERYDAY! Including YOU! I'm serious! But after my visit today I just had to take a minute when I got back to work to let you know that Maria really truly made my day today. I was in tears when I saw the bouquet of tulips in Mom's room. (I'm still choked up just writing this). I had mentioned that they were Mom's absolute favorite flowers, especially the red and yellow ones. So when I saw her lying peacefully in bed with the big beautiful bouquet right in front of her, it just made me cry. For her to go out of her way and take the time to do such a thoughtful thing for Mom she deserves some special recognition! I did give her a hug and tell her thank you, but I also wanted you to know how much her kind gesture meant to me. I know everyone there cares about My Mom.... with all the special attention....... from Anna bringing her puppies in to Heather and her soft gentle touch with Mom....she receives wonderful care from EVERYONE there..... for each day that Mom is with us...... I will be forever grateful for the wonderful staff that you have! Love you all!"
